As an audiologist, comprehensive assessments followed by diagnostic findings and recommendations are offered. Auditory processing is the challenge in listening to speech, language and acoustic signals in the presence of adverse listening conditions. It is the ability to receive, recognize, discriminate and integrate all auditory information so that the information reaches the brain accurately and in a timely manner.
As a speech-language pathologist, thorough investigations are conducted, determining the presence of speech, language, and/or social communication impairments
Hearing enhancement and listening devices are recommended and personalized for individual patient needs and lifestyle. Our team of experts assists families in creating optimal listening experiences for facilitating learning and communication.
Auditory processing disorders make communication more challenging overall. For children, this often leads to learning difficulties in school and perceived behavioral challenges due to miscommunication. For adults, auditory processing disorders may lead to decreased communication due to frustration and trouble hearing accurately. Through intervention and therapy, patients can achieve progress and notable improvements.
A variety of treatment options are available at the on site clinic and over remote learning experiences. Sessions are individually tailored for each patient's unique clinical profile to maximize achievements.
Findings from evaluations conducted guide the recommendations offered. As a seasoned clinician and leader in the field, patients are offered training and guidance with exceptional expertise.
As part of the audiological and auditory processing testing protocol, assessment of the integrity and function of the inner ear in the response to sound is measured.
Traditional listening enhancement options, particularly suited for educational settings and classroom experiences are also explored. Patients and their families are presented with options and guidance, equipping them with the tools needed to support optimal selection for individual patients.
